The World Turkish Cuisine Academy was established on August 26, 2010.
WTCA was introduced globally on August 30, 2020.
As our Chancellor, Chef Tolgahan Gulyiyen, wisely stated:
“Our differences are our greatest wealth.”
This principle reflects the core of our vision.
WTCA is a globally respected institution that embraces cultural diversity and promotes inclusive academic and culinary engagement. We strive to ensure that Turkish cuisine is introduced to the world not only as a rich culinary tradition, but also as a cultural heritage shaped by centuries of history and diverse influences.
We support and encourage academic research that highlights the true depth of Turkish culinary arts. WTCA does not commercialize its reports, theses, or research for financial gain. Instead, all academic works produced are financed and protected by WTCA in accordance with international copyright laws, ensuring they remain accessible and aligned with our mission.
Our vision is to:
Through education, research, and international collaboration, we aim to elevate Turkish cuisine to its rightful place among the world’s great culinary traditions—always guided by truth, respect, and cultural integrity.
